NINE TROPHIES IN TWO WEEKS
STILLWATER- The Newland-Wood Fire Company of the Stillwater Fire Department and the Newland-Wood Ladies Auxiliary recently won nine trophies while attending local parades. The firefighters and ladies auxiliary members proudly marched with their historic 1871 Button Steamer during the annual Hudson-Mohawk Volunteer Firefighters Association Convention on July 12th in Glenville and during the Columbia County Convention on July 26th in Chatham.

Best Firematic (1871 Button Steamer in Mardi Gras)
1st Place Best Appearing Standard Parade Dress Uniform (15 & Under)
Best Appearing Apparatus Not In Service (1871 Button Steamer)
2nd Place Best Appearing Auxiliary (10 & Over)
Categories won in Chatham included:
1st Place Best Appearing Antique Apparatus (1871 Button Steamer)
2nd Place Best Appearing Fire Unit Non-Member (6-10)
1st Place Best Appearing Overall Out of County with Auxiliary
Most Ladies in the Line of March Out of County
